This stunning mansion set in 4 acres of award-winning gardens is situated on the edge of the Northumbrian countryside, yet only 10 minutes drive from the Newcastle city centre.
The hotel is within a 10 minute walk of the historic Ryton with its ancient church and selection of cafes and restaurants. It is only one mile from Hadrian's Wall walk.
The house is only a 10 minute journey from Newcastle centre and 5 minutes from the MetroCentre shopping complex. This is a relaxing environment where a warm welcome is guaranteed.
Hedgefield House has the interesting distinction of being the 1st private house in England to have a private telephone. Alexander Graham Bell was related, by marriage, to the Simpson family who built the house.

Everything the room was beautiful, I received A free Upgrade, the bathroom was incredible the free standing bath was amazing. David was Very nice and the place was so peaceful just what I needed.

We had the four poster room. It's a very spacious room with a really large bath. The bed is comfortable. The location to good for those who wish to party in Newcastle or there is a local pub/restaurant close by. Food there is really good.

Unique room with lovely view and great refreshments. Wi-Fi was very good. Quiet location and excellent restaurant next door. Bus stop very close by with frequent service into city centre and/or shops. Overall location was excellent.
