We didn't know what to expect having seen some poor reviews, but we need not have worried. The place was very clean included bed linen. The room was well equipped with a large comfortable double bed. We can't fault anything except for a loose tap fitting in the kitchen. The room was warm - if anything too warm even though there was no heating on. The staff and owner we met were very friendly and helpful. The room faced the main road so there was some traffic noise but that was to be expected given the location. It died down in the evening. Although there was a kitchen for self catering we ate at the restaurant on site. The food was very good and great value. We would definitely stay again - it is exceptional value.

Perfect apartment room with basic but good facilities. Secure and modern. Sandra, the manager, was a pleasure to deal with and made sure the bicycles we arrived on were stored safely. The added bonus of a really good, but affordable. restaurant putt the icing on the cake. Would definitely use again.

Welcoming lady on reception. Value for money. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Taxi into Newcastle between £5 and £10 depending on the time. Great free parking. Good base for exploring the local area.
