Country houses Overview

Donnington Grove is set on the outskirts of Newbury, overlooked by the historic Donnington Castle. This beautifully renovated 18th-century Gothic house is set in 550 acres of grounds with its own championship golf course.
Donnington Grove has a beautiful, secluded position, with easy access to the M4 motorway and the A34. London Heathrow Airport is less than 50 minutes away.
There are 39 en suite rooms, all of which have a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Choose from rooms in the main house, summer house, or lodges in the secret garden.
Beaus Bar and Restaurant is open daily with an outdoor area for al fresco dining. The restaurant leads to a south-west-facing terrace with views over the practice area, covered driving range, lakes and the River Lambourn.
The 550-acre estate consists of a mixture of parkland, farmland and woodland, with the River Lambourn running through it. The championship golf course was designed by the Welsh Ryder Cup player, Dave Thomas.

Modern Serviced Apartments situated in a walled garden a short walk from the hotel. Unique setting adjacent to the She-tennoji Temple. It has a fully equipped kitchen including crockery and cutlery. Double patio doors lead on to private decking and walled gardens. Double or twin accommodation available. This room cannot accommodate an extra bed.

The rooms are environmentally friendly with ground source energy producing the power to provide both heating and hot water. These rooms also features an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary WiFi and a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels. Please note that extra beds cannot be accommodated in this room type.

These rooms are located in a separate building, just a 2 minute walk from the main manor. The rooms offers views across the lake and with an outside seating area. The rooms features an en suite walk-in shower, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary WiFi and a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels. Please note that these rooms cannot accommodate any extra beds.

Providing free toiletries, this double room includes a private bathroom with a bath and a hairdryer. The double room provides a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a tea and coffee maker, a wardrobe and heating. The unit offers 1 bed.

Hotel within extensive grounds and golf course yet immediately adjoining all facilities of Newbury town. Great location close to M4 etc. staff delightful and helpful and would certainly go again.

It was in perfect location for us, just a stones throw away from our event venue. Staff really really friendly, nothing was ever too much for them!
