Great quiet secluded location in a converted stone barn. Very friendly host on a family run working farm. Cosy with the gas stove on during our stay in very cold weather. Great walking from the doorstep which backs on the UNESCO Geopark with the famed High- and Low Force waterfalls.

Beautiful get away spot. Some great walks and very close to River Tees and Pennine way. We loved it hear. Quite remote, no neighbours. Stunning countryside. Highly recommend. Great value.

The location is idyllic. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and cosy. We spent 7 nights there with our 1 year old and it was a really lovely, relaxing stay. Great to be able to go on family walks right from the property, Low Force waterfall is only 30 minutes walk away. The cottage was really warm, clean and had everything you will need for time away. Planning on returning in the future, but will bring a travel stair gate as with the living room being upstairs we did have to barricade the top of the stairs from curious little boys. Can't fault the cottage at all and everyone we met in Holwick was so wonderfully friendly.
