Great unique property. Compact but all that you needed was here. A short walk to bus stops and NOLA Le Pass gives good deals for multi day fare passes. 10 minute walk to Whole Foods from the accommodation. Hosts were very quick communicating and clear entry instructions.

We stayed in the “Avocado” room on Dumains (Dumaine) Street. The location of this property is perfect for anyone attending Jazz Fest. It is an easy 25-minute walk to the fairgrounds and its 35 minutes to the French Quarter for the daze between festival weekends or for evening adventures. Also, an easy 15-minute walk to the Canal Street streetcar. It is also 10 minutes to “The Broadside” night club that offers great live music most evenings. Right beside The Broadside is a Whole Foods market and a Dollar General for your grocery needs. We felt safe in the neighborhood and had no problems whatsoever walking anywhere day or night. As to the property itself, it has a keyless entry locked door with a keyless locking gate at the street. There is a small courtyard in the back with an overhead awning and large live oak tree to keep the rain off. The courtyard has tables and chairs to relax after a lang day of walking. The exterior of the building is well lit and was easy for us to access and navigate. As to the Avocado room, it has a large well-lit bathroom with good tub and shower. The room itself is not particularly large but has a decent size kitchen with hot plate, oven, kettle, and microwave (no coffee maker and no toaster but we purchased a cheap one and left it behind for the next guests). The refrigerator is a small “bar-sized” variety but does include a good top freezer. There is a small round table with two chars to sit at. The queen-sized bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked well.

The location is convenient for the French Quarter and the ability to park near to the centre of town is useful. However, I didn’t fully appreciate what I was booking as there are multiple rooms at this property, which meant the pictures are confusing. There was very little natural light in the room I was allocated. The room was basic but clean.
