Incredible location right on the doorstep of scafell. A fab quaint little place to come back to after a day of hiking…far superior to camping which was equal in price when we booked! A real gem.

But the keybox did jam at one point in the holiday. Luckily there were neighbours who were able to get us into the property and unjam the box.

The location was perfect for an idyllic getaway in the middle of nowhere. The pictures accurately reflect where you'll be staying so we had a good idea of the surroundings. The shower was really powerful, great after a long day (just a shame the water didn't drain away). Parking was ideally located opposite the building and Wastwater Lake is a 2 minute drive away. The inside of the building is a good-sized ground floor apartment, space for storage of shoes and coats, and a good area for lounge/ dining with a drop leaf table and 4 chairs.

AMAZING and idyllic location. Wasdale lake is just a km away from the cottage which was a pleasant surprise! Lots of hiking routes near the cottage and an ideal location for mountain climbing or water activities. Very warm and homely feel, mostly clean and tidy, fluffy pillows and the beds were super comfy.
