We had a wonderful stay at Sharmila and Sampath’s Villa! They are such kind and welcoming hosts, always making sure everything was perfect for us. When our luggage didn’t arrive at the airport, they immediately helped us find a small local shop to buy the essentials and even took care of receiving our bags so we could explore the area in the meantime. Since we didn’t have clear plans for the rest of our trip, they suggested great places to visit (like Anuradhapura). Once we booked our next guesthouse, they even booked a bus for us and called our next host the day before our departure to make sure we would arrive safely, such a lovely gesture! Breakfast was delicious and varied, with local specialties like coconut roti, fresh fruit, coconut milk rice, and eggs. The room was simple but clean and comfortable, and we loved the peaceful atmosphere (plus their cute little cat 🐱). They also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants, we tried one just 10 minutes away, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka! We felt truly taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic and warm Sri Lankan experience.

We stayed here for the second time, and it was just as wonderful as before. We had to leave very early in the morning for the airport, but this was no problem at all. Sharmila and her husband are truly the kindest people in Sri Lanka – always so helpful and warm. The upstairs room is very spacious and beautiful. They even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our journey to the airport, which was incredible. We really love this place and can only highly recommend it.

We spent our first night in Sri Lanka at Villa Taprobane and felt very comfortable there. Sharmila is extremely friendly and helpful and provided us with excellent support in answering all our questions about good restaurants and onward travel. Our room was beautiful and cozy, and the breakfast was delicious! We can recommend Sharmila's accommodation to anyone.

Mrs. Sharmila and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming – they accommodated us even late at night after our arrival. Breakfast was absolutely excellent. We definitely recommend this place!
