Sonja “Charming little Farmhouse in Beautiful Surroundings”
07 Oct 2025
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cilffriw Farm. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Set in beautiful countryside, it’s perfectly located for exploring local attractions and shops. Waking up to the morning sun streaming through the windows, the cockerell crowing, and cows mooing was such a lovely way to start the day. The hosts’ two corgis even joined me and my dog for a walk down the lane, which was delightful. Breakfast was a generous spread with everything you could want. I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews. It seems some guests didn’t read the description carefully before booking. This is a charming old farmhouse, not the Ritz, and that’s exactly its appeal. If you’re after sleek modern decor and a spotless hotel-style experience, this may not be for you. But if you appreciate peace, nature, and the character of a traditional countryside home, you’ll love it here. It was comfortable, and wonderfully peaceful. The host is friendly and sociable, and the housekeeper is kind and chatty. I loved being surrounded by nature and farm life - yes, there are the farm dogs and other guests dogs, and they sometimes bark, but that’s part of the charm! I would happily stay here again.

Jonathen is a great man. The way he speak is like your family member. He offered us breakfast as well without any charges. I love the ducks that they have.

The location is amazing a great little farm. This was our second time here. Great value for money. Sue and Jonathan are very welcoming and helpful.
Andy “Lovely, quirky farmhouse stay”

It was a lovely, if slightly old fashioned and quirky farmhouse stay but it was very comfortable and fabulous value for money. The host (Jonathan) was very welcoming and accomodating. The setting, in countryside, was very pleasant. Something to bear in mind is that there is no TV in the room, however wifi is available so I watched on my laptop. Breakfast was cereal, fruit and toast. Eggs were available, sat in the kitchen
