Hotel Overview

Sawrey Country House Hotel is set in the pretty village of Near Sawrey in the heart of the Lake District. Most rooms have stunning views of the garden and Esthwaite Water. There is a relaxing bar and lounge with a real log fire to enjoy and free WiFi in all areas.
The well-appointed bedrooms all include a private bathroom with luxury bath products. The rooms have flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities.
The hotel is on the B5285 road, 2 miles from the Windermere car ferry. Local attractions include Hawkshead, Coniston, Ambleside and Hill Top Farm next door for Beatrix Potter fans.

“Perfect stay at Sawrey House”

I had a great solo stay at Sawrey House. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable. David is a fantastic host—kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. I truly enjoyed my time here and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

JONATHAN WAS VERY WELCOMING. LOVELY VIEW. BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD TO HAVE A CHOICE OF AN EVENING MEAL OTHER THAN PIZZA OR CHARCUTERIE.

Everything! Nothing to complain about. Great location, great , views and absolutely lovely place. Food excellent - lovely breakfast. Very clean, lovely comfortable bed. Excellent, attentive service.

Great 1st time stay. Lovely setting. Rooms and Food were great. David a very good host, nothing to much trouble and made me feel very welcome. Will stay again for sure!
