Beautiful apartment and very well equipped. Great location, very quiet yet near to the station. Local restaurants and cafes were excellent.

Beautifully appointed and equipped 2 storey house. Exceptionally clean and spacious for our family of 5. Close walking distance to kintetsu station but longer walk , especially when pulling luggage, from JR Nara station. Friendly and unobtrusive host.

Shoya is a wonderful property down a quiet lane full of small traditional shops, including a dumpling shop run by the lovely owner. It is only a short walk from Kintetsu Nara station and close to many of the temples. We also took the opportunity to explore some of the sights outside Nara itself while we were there. There are walking trails and villages only a short train ride away. The kitchen in the property is fully stocked, there is a washing machine, the beds are comfortable and there are two bathrooms and two separate toilets. The only thing to note is that the tatami room is attached to one of the bedrooms so it is not very private. Apart from that it was perfect for us. We couldn’t have been happier and it was so much nicer than a hotel chain!
