Such a great location to stay! You go to sleep and wake up with the deers. The rooms are basic but very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nara was one of our favourite stay-overs

Very nice hostel with shared bathrooms. Not for noise sensitive due to thin walls and creaking wooden floors.

Loved being inside the park. I stayed two nights in a private room which meant I could enjoy the deer and the views a bit later in the day/earlier in the morning when everything was closed/yet to open. Or enjoy a quick escape from the crowds during the day. Very helpful staff, great reccs and helped me book a taxi on a very rainy check out day. I walked back from Nara town alone one night - some part of the route is not well lit but was easy and safe - the room key helpfully came with a torch.
