Room was great but I expected more from the palace I guess, it was kind of decadent. Breakfast was ok but not good for the value overall. Staff was kind and very responsive

V central location in this fantastic, vibrant city of crumbing architectural splendours and delicious cuisine overlooking the stunning Bay of Naples. Relais Della Porta is within close walking distance of grand piazzas, palaces, churches, cathedrals as well as labyrinthine narrow streets festooned with clothes lines, modern day graffiti and religious relics. Numerous cafes, restaurants, food stalls and shops are within a stones throw as well as food markets where locals shop and socialise. Relais Della Porta is a haven of calm occupying the 3rd and 4th floor of an ancient building, accessed though a courtyard, from an archway that leads through an enormous double door on to the city’s main shopping street- the lively Via Toledo. This isn’t a typical boutique hotel or B&B and is full of character and charm, while also offering modern and spotless facilities. Our rooms, on the fourth floor and newly renovated, were very tastefully appointed with comfortable beds and a fantastic shower in the beautiful bathroom. The view from the rooms is currently obscured by scaffolding, and looks out on the small street at the back of the building. The staff were v friendly, informative, efficient and helpful. Pre-arrival they sent us very useful information about our stay and locality. They very helpfully organised the transfer from the airport and everything ran very smoothly. Any questions or issues were immediately addressed. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied with excellent coffee.
