Hotel Overview

Located right on the seafront, the prestigious Grand Hotel Vesuvio overlooks the Gulf of Naples, the island of Capri and Mount Vesuvius.
This hotel features a luxury indoor pool, fitness centre with personal trainer and a wellness area with hot tub, sauna and steam bath. From April to October, the Wonderful Sky Lounge Solarium & Cocktail Bar has full views of Gulf of Naples.
Rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated. All air-conditioned, they also feature a minibar and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some have a balcony with sea views.
The Vesuvio Grand Hotel serves a varied buffet breakfast each morning. The Caruso Roof Garden Restaurant on the 9th floor offers classic Italian cuisine and panoramic views across the Mediterranean Sea.
The hotel is opposite the Castel dell'Ovo in the historic quarter of Santa Lucia. The port for boats to Capri, Sorrento and other destinations is 15 minutes walk away.

Stayed for two days in end October, the rooms were spacious, we were upgraded to a partial view room with a balcony. Check-in was smooth and very informative. Breakfast spread was excellent. Their sky lounge has gorgeous views and superb service.

The hotel is an excellent position on the small marina. It is much larger than the hotels we stay in which may account for me not rating it as excellent. If you like grandeur then this hotel certainly delivers.

Old fashioned, quiet , the room was comfortable but quiet at night , cool as the ac worked well and the curtains blacked out the room - we slept very well.
