Beautiful historic building, nice spacious rooms, large bathroom, high sealings, great restaurant with breathtaking view and because of location extremely quiet at night. Beautiful views from all windows, large including bathroom window. Perfect breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and good local cheese . Gorgeous garden around the building. Very friendly and well schooled staff Compliments to management.

Everything from welcome to farewell! The hotel is gorgeous and very well appointed with a location overlooking the town and had the weather been better we would have taken the cable car down. We were greeted with an upgrade, much appreciated after a 10-hour drive from the U.K. The staff were brilliant, so pleasant and helpful. We arrived too late for dinner and begged for a cheese sandwich and we got one of the best cheese plates I’ve ever been served. There must have been at least 10 varieties, all delicious with generous servings of wine. The breakfast was excellent and served in a very pleasant dining room. The hotel works in partnership with a hotelier school and the young trainees did an excellent job, better than many trained experienced professionals. We didn’t eat in the restaurant unfortunately but we’ll definitely return to sample the cuisine. In general, I really liked the atmosphere of the place, relaxed but professional and would recommend it highly.
