It was a very cozy and homely stay. The owners were amazing to us and shanti didi (househelp) has been very kind, hospitable and generous to us. The food was amazing and even the portion of the food was quite good. I would recommend everybody to choose this homestay over any other hotel options with the same price range. It is an amazing option for a staycation as well, the view from the property is very nice and overall vibe is very peaceful and homely.

Our search for a place to stay in Nainital ended the moment we read the glowing reviews of this homestay—an impressive 9.4 out of 10 from 114 guests! And rightly so.... We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, a lovely and gracious couple. Check-in was super quick and seamless. The moment we stepped inside, we were ushered into a spotless, spacious, and beautifully appointed room. The view from the terrace was simply stunning—a panoramic sight of Naini Lake surrounded by lush green mountains. The location is ideal, with Mall Road and the lake just a 10-minute walk away. While returning from Mall Road, scooter transport is available right up to the homestay. This is especially helpful for those who may find walking difficult, as the property is located uphill Most importantly, the hosts genuinely care about their guests' comfort. In fact, even though it meant a loss of revenue for them, they thoughtfully suggested we check out a day earlier and stay closer to our next destination to avoid a long and tiring journey. Truly, hospitality at its best!

This place is clean, spacious and very comfortable with great view of the lake. The wifi was great for work. Really Good food- I had breakfast and dinner. But the best part is the family who runs it and especially Meha, the daughter that was so friendly and helpful with really anything I needed, including recommendations about activities and finding for me the best rate for taxi and even giving me gloves just because I told her I was planning to buy ones for the cold. I highly recommend this place, a real home away from home.

😏 First of all, I like to mention that at the time of arrival at the property I was little disappointed because of tiredness of long drives, difficulty in getting the way to the property because of one way entry in Mall road, severe rain with hailstorm and power failure. Difficulty in navigating the steep narrow approach road. Then I found steep stairs to go down to the property which made me more disappointed. 😄 Now I will narrate the story of the other side which converted my disappointment into pleasure within few minutes after I reached the room. The owner of the property, the Laxmi Kutteer Homestay consists of three people. Two senior couples and their daughter. The father and daughter came to the road with umbrellas and helped us to park the car and get us into the designated room. Later they arranged simple and homely dinner for us as it was not possible for us to go out for dinner in such a heavy calamities. For the next two days they treated us like their personal guests, kept attention to all our needs. We got so much attached with them that at the time of leaving we spent almost one hour extra in exchanging our personal feelings etc. It is a Home beyond a Homestay. It was a different feeling. Only their keenness and affection force me to forget the steep & narrow approach road, steep stairs like healing ointment to the wounds. I too found them a very nice, kind, helpful family like so many other guests of them. 🙏 Thanks to all the members of the Pandey family, the HOST.👌👍

The place was at a quite location not very far from mall road. Shanti Aunty was very helpful, the room was nice clean but it was basic and not a very luxurious property with all basic necessities. room and bathroom size was big. I would highly recommend the owner to get some interiors and good lighting work done that place can become so much more beautiful and cozy. Overall good peaceful stay away from all the noise on mall road. The view was great with hills and the lake.
