The pool was great but it seems the tattoo policy was only for foreign travellers as quite a few locals who had tattoos on their arms had no issues while swimming uncovered. I do understand that I have traditional irezumi which covers my entire back, arms, and my chest, it just seemed a bit unfair that I had to wear an uncomfortable rashguard, and was told that it was required,in the blazing 35°c+ weather, meanwhile a few locals could just strut in showing the tattoos on their arms. I only used it once during the day and then opted for the beach the rest of the trip because of this. It was close to 2 beaches so the access was not an issue. The rooms were a bit crammed for a family of 3, but it was manageable. There were fresh towels daily, and the location made it very easy to access a variety of places for every. Overall, it was a good stay.
