Enjoyed it all - a good old-style hostel with excellent kitchen facilities, an attractive communal area, a nice hot shower and a friendly host. Luggage storage available prior to check-in and post check-out. Fantastic location - 1.7km from railway station / 100m from temple. Room was big enough with working sockets and a comfortable bed enabling a good nights sleep.

A great location in Nagano with very friendly and helpful hosts. An old style building with plenty of charm. I didn’t mind the steep wooden stairs but some might find them challenging. Free tea and coffee.
