“Outstanding and fun”
23 Sep 2024
The Hosts were fantastic Merci a vous Bernhard, They don't not speak english very well, but we understood and can speak a little french. So no problems. The location is amazing, but very remote, so you will need to drive if you aren't there on a walking holiday. Which is why we loved it and the sky at night was amazing. Quiet, peaceful and wonderful hosts not much more we can say and very quaint stepping back in time.

“A peaceful getaway in the beautiful Normandy countryside.”

I stayed with my wife and 2 year old son in August 2024. The property was cozy, clean and very homely. Bernard and Chantal were wonderful hosts, welcoming us with local cider when we arrived! We opted to have breakfast for the 2 days we were there, and I’m really glad we did. The jams were a real hit! My son loved the outside space, and especially enjoyed the swingball game in the garden. The local area is beautiful and peaceful. We spent one night star gazing as there is no light pollution.

“A Delightful place to stay!”

First of all - this is not a high end luxury place to stay. It’s very quirky. Very French. And quite simple. It wouldn’t suit everyone. BUT… we thought it perfect. It is absolutely charming, the hosts are a complete delight and the welcome overwhelmingly warm. The location is very rural - outside of a small village ( with few, if any amenities) but it makes a terrific base to explore the surrounding area (lots to see and do). The garden is beautiful. As are the views. The house is well equipped and immaculately clean. But it is the hosts who REALLY make it. A delightful couple - we arrived late after a long journey and we hadn’t eaten. No problem - our hosts conjured up fresh bread, eggs, yoghurt and an excellent bottle of cider. We needed to leave early and they both waved us off like close friends. We shall be back. Thank you Chantal and Bernard.
