Brilliant location, cool area with lots of nice restaurants and bars, opposite academy of fine arts, 10 min walk to the English Garden, very close to subway station. Lively area yet quiet and peaceful hotel. The building is grand and historic with nice periodic features (amazing wooden-lined lift, I put some photos) . Fantastic breakfast, thoughtfully and carefully prepared with homemade jams. The hosts make you feel relaxed - a friendly family atmosphere. Everything that was needed was provided. Everything very clean and well looked after. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This is just an amazing and lovely place to stay in Munich close to the university and the Englischer Garten. I had a room with a bathroom and it was spacious and had an amazing view towards the arts academy. The rooms and the two floors of the Pension have a lot of charm and personal touches. The breakfast and the home-made jams are wonderful, and the couple who runs the place are warm and caring for all their guests. I highly recommend staying here.

The location is quiet, close to transit and walk to town is 25 minutes. The breakfast was excellent and the hospitality of the staff was welcoming. Windows that open is an important feature that some modern hotels do not offer. We had our own bathroom but the shared ones looked very clean for those who are considering this option.
