Staff were welcoming and efficient. Cafe on site was well priced and food and bar were great. Never had time to check out the pools. Did sit in the garden enjoying a drink and watching the fountain. It's not a Marriott but as an old school motel it was great. It was a great option versus Louisville hotels for the Derby. Room was a good price and well stocked. Bed was comfy and it was quiet. It was only 30 minutes to Churchill Downs

The room was very nice and spacious. It included a freezer, mini-fridge, and two sinks with lots of counter space for our personal hygiene items. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and the two full-sized beds were very soft. The shower was broken, but the maintenance person came in right away to fix it, even on his day-off on a Sunday. He also fixed the lights in the washroom as well, and we didn't even have to ask him!
