The fine print
Cleaning is done 3 times a week. Consisting of bed linen and change of towels once per week and general cleaning of the room is done twice per week.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

All staff members were super nice and helpful. My flight was delayed and I requested a late check in which they acknowledged.

Firstly, I would like to clarify that I had expected the worst reading through some of the reviews but had a very pleasant experience instead. My friend and I booked 2 bunked beds but had a room for 4 pax to ourselves throughout the stay. This is likely because the hostel was not full. Upon entering the room, it was immaculate with plenty of room for 4 pax. The AC was working perfectly, much needed for the August heat, and sometimes got too cold at night 🤣. The shower drained well and had a high water pressure. My friend did comment that you don’t get very hot water but it was at least 20°C. I didn’t mind the cool showers because it was well hot outside. The pillows and mattress also seemed to be memory foam ones -very sturdy and comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast was simple but filling. You are served 1 or 2 slices of toast, chicken ham, and cheese. Cereal, cucumber, tomatoes, croissant, jam, chocolate spread, and butter were self-service. You also get options of juice and hot drinks. The menu was the same daily. I personally didn’t mind and found the ham and cheese of very high quality (ie. real cheese instead of an American processed one). There was also a pool available to use but we didn’t use it. Staff was very helpful when we had questions. We also stored our luggage before and after our stay. Finally, the location of the hostel couldn’t be better. You are just 5-10 min walk to Qroqq ring where most buses stop by. You can also easily walk to Msida and Gita for shops/meals. A tip: go to Ta’ Xbiex (15 min walk) for the best sunrise overlooking St John Co-Cathedral to your right and Manoel Island to your left.
