Moulin des Forges is a hidden gem. We, as a family of 4 (children 12 and 9), would recommend moulin des forges wholeheartingly. We stayed in the yurt in 2022 and returned in 2025. Moulin des forges is perfect stop if you’re heading south from the uk, Holland or Belgium and ideal location if you want to explore this beautiful part of France. La Creuse has plenty to offer. There are a few gites, the yurt and a limited amount of camping places. So it’s small (which is a bonus) but the facilities are excellent, plenty and the pool great. Most of all Colin an Christina are both friendly and generous in hospitality and advise. You’re welcomed as a guest, not a cash cow. They’re proud of their little place in France and they have every right to be. But don’t tell any one, this is a hidden gem. ;-)

Christina and Colin were perfect hosts, they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we stayed for two weeks in the clamping tent it was perfect we had our own outdoor kitchen and shower and toilet, even though toilet is compost, it's perfect the location and the other facilities available, another toilet, shower there's a games room ,tv room and to top it all a pool . Halfway through the holiday we had torrential rain and thunderstorm and the tent etc all survived, so did we 😆. We are definitely going back next year.

Lovely countryside setting. Excellent glamping facilities, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen with dining and lounge areas on decking, also private hot tub. The swimming pool was good too.
