The best thing about these apartments is the owner Lee. He was superb in helping us to move between apts (we stayed for 2 weeks) to give us more space, and his recommendations on bars/restaurants was excellent. Don't miss the Rising Tide for great beers, wines and food. The Thai restaurant just around the corner is also very good. The New World supermarket just across the road is very handy but a note to UK people, don't expect Tesco club card type prices in NZ, we found the supermarkets in general more expensive than the UK. Having a laundry on site was also a bonus, plus parking right outside your door.
