A grand old lady it was a privilege to spend time in. We were welcomed and given a tour of the communal area by a well presented pleasant young lady, and assured the kitchen dining and lounge areas were for use. Our (white) room had ambience, was comfortable, and well appointed .... and we didn't mind the out of character added feature of a coffee pod machine. The bed was comfortable with lovely crisp sheets. The walkable central location gave a range of dining options, and was also close to the interesting "cave" feature in the centre of town. The value for money aspect was excellent. There is plenty of scope for lifting the tiredness of the house, such as the carpets, but for us the overall lovely environment overcame the aspects that need attention..
