The lock box code was given to me over the phone once the host had talked through a few things about the property. It was helpful to go over information regarding the access road and the hot tub . The property has a wonderful, large back garden. It is divided into two spaces by a fence and gate. This was so great for keeping the dogs contained and in view at all times. Another great dog-friendly touch was the dog tags for attaching to collars with the cottage's address on them.

We have stayed in a few self catering lodges and cottages but Black Spout Cottage set a new level of expectation. It was super clean and very well laid out and furnished lovely - but not too much that you didn't feel comfy. It's only a short drive into Pitlochry. The walks round the cottage in the woods are great - and there were very few people - just perfect!!
