I don't usually bother to review places but if you are ever looking for a place to stay in Motueka you can go past the White Elephant. We stayed in a private room with en-suite which is more like a cabin really. Excellent value for money and has all the facilities you need for a night before/after the Abel Tasman, which is what we used it for. Gert was so helpful and always has time for a chat with a smile on his face!

The woman on the reception desk gave me a four-person dorm room to myself (because it was possible), which I greatly appreciated.

The house exterior is beautifully decorated and overall it's a great place. The room, toilet, and kitchen are all clean and well-maintained.
