We loved our week here at The Old Smithy! Our group was 5 adults and 1 child and 2 small dogs, we had enough room and all felt comfortable. The house was clean and welcoming, and so well equipped; it was easy to cook in the kitchen, find extra towels, lots of cleaning items, even spare beach spades and dog leads. Nothing was missing! A lovely bottle of prosecco and chocolates as a gift on arrival was appreciate. It was easy to find the keys. We managed to get our car in the yard. The location is really great - right on the shopping street. You can wake up and nip for a coffee or to the bakery, go get sausages from the butchers, or buy some freshly caught fish for breakfast. Everything is in reach, even a DIY shop. We enjoyed walking around the shopping huts and harbours, walking up and down the coast, a walk into Warkworth. There's lots of lovely places to eat out, and equally any kind of takeaway you might want on the doorstep too as well as a tesco express. We felt the price was great for what you got. We'd definitely return.

Great location, host had really thought of every eventuality, I especially liked to sit and have my morning coffee looking out to the marina in the chair by the window. Really peaceful. Wish we had known about the leisure pass as we would have brought swimwear but great idea. We had such lovely weather. Everyone we met were so welcoming. We will definitely be back. Lovely welcome gift too, the dog had a great time at the beaches too, living her best life.
