We were travelling back from the South of France, and this was a great place to stop over. Near Paris, but not in a busy area, so it was a welcome and restful stay. We enjoyed the pool, the excellent breakfast, and the idea of staying in an old tower.

Very nice, atmospheric location, ideal for a stop-over. Facilities are basic but all the necessary things are there and good (such as the small but very comfortable pool and the beautiful garden), the owners are very kind and helpful. Overall a very good price-quality ratio! We stayed in the castle tower room (2 rooms on 2 floors of the tower) during a stop-over on our way to the South. The general facilities of the tower room and the hotel are basic, don't expect a luxury resort (but then again the price is also cheap). But what made this special was the atmosphere and the history of this bead and breakfast.... it is located on the estate of a little castle which was largely destroyed during the French Revolution. Part of the façade of the castle, 3 towers, was fortunately left intact. And it is in one of these towers that we stayed. Tthe tower itself already looks marvellous. Up a few steps was our room, and further up on a (narrow) spiral staircase the second room with toilet and a (comfortable) shower. The rooms are old and basic, but all the essential things function well! The small pool was very refreshing and comfortable. A beautiful green and large garden. Last but not least, the owners were super friendly and helpful, helping us out with various things, e.g. booking a table at one of the nearby restaurants. And who can say that he slept in a centuries-old castle tower 😀 . Overall a very good price-quality ratio, we definitely recommend!

The breakfast was fine and the location quite idyllic. The room was of a very high standard and the whole place picaresque. Above everything else though the staff and proprietor were exceptional, very friendly and great company. They couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. We enjoyed a drink and a laugh with them.
