A villa right on the oceanfront with very welcoming and kind hosts. We stayed for two weeks on the third floor, and the top-floor terrace also belonged exclusively to us, along with a private terrace around our room. The room was spacious, featuring a living area with a kitchen (including a fridge and kettle) and a bedroom with a beautiful view from the windows. There was also a shower with hot water. A good breakfast with fresh fruit was served daily. The territory is well maintained, with a large swimming pool and sun loungers available under the shade of trees. There are many beautiful plants around the property. Peacocks often visited the area, and there is even a funny iguana living near the pool. The ocean has a great, easy entrance into the water, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back again.

Our host did not hesitate to organise tuk tuks and taxi driver to take us to the airport for our departure flight. She also shared the history of the hotel as well as the impact of the tsunami in Sri Lanka. The hotel had a lovely swimming pool set in lovely grounds with direct access to Moragalla beach

I booked Sagarika Beach Hotel for my parents for three nights after reading so many wonderful reviews, and it exceeded all expectations. They loved it so much that they ended up extending their stay! They said the host was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming from the moment they arrived. The owner truly went above and beyond to make their stay special, even taking them out to a garden centre, which they really appreciated. It made their trip feel very personal and memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful and extremely clean, with all the facilities you could need. The WiFi was strong and reliable, which was important for them. The location is perfect – the garden opens directly onto a stunning beach, making it a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.
