Charis “Really lovely, great value for money - good as a base for travel”

It was really pleasant, good value for money. Lots to do but busses are unreliable and infrequent so need to be happy to walk for a bit in the heat. The host was really lovely but only spoke Italian (but that's to be expected in Italy 😂). The flat is a little annex at the back of the host's house so she's about if you need her, and has a lovely dog who was up for lots of fuss and love! 30-40 mins walk to the main station and from there you can get to lovely places such as Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence! Would highly recommend visiting Azienda Agricola "Feudo Ghelardini", which is a local vineyard run by a lovely lady named Martina, who was the absolute sweetest and the highlight of our trip ❤️ Overall a really great base for travel to local towns, cities and attractions, very good for the price. Lots of lovely food and the city it's in is not super touristy but can get to plenty of tourist places very easily. Beautiful setting near the sea and with the backdrop of stunning mountain ranges.
