Alessandro is a great host. The location of the property is difficult to reach as is most areas in Tuscany. I stupidly decided that we did not need to rent a car but unfortunately our private driver cancelled the night before our trip. When I spoke to Alessandro about this he came to pick us up from the station (for a fee understandably as he is a landlord not a taxi driver) and he also took us back which was very kind but I would highly recommend renting a car (approx 1hr from follonica station and there is a europacar there for rentals) to ensure you get there, the roads were not as bad as I expected so in hindsight I probably could have driven. The breakfasts were beautiful and as we were stuck with no transport Alessandro even put us a dinner on for a fee which was lovely and unexpected. The room and accommodation is very clean and the pool area is beautiful. If you like dogs there are five beautiful dogs there who are there for security but they are very friendly and receptive to attention - we were attending a wedding and got back late in the early hours dropped off at the main road and the dogs came back to greet us and walk us down the lane to the property which was lovely and made us feel very safe. Alessandro’s garden is beautiful with fresh figs which are served at breakfast. We are even looking at travelling back to stay here later in the year. There is a lovely beach resort an hours drive away (Follonica) which is easy to reach via train from Pisa so we spent our last few hours there before our flight.

Good and rich breakfast, the clean and natural pool, the contact to the owner, clean room, not too loud, great location.
