Fauna Montevideo is located in a historic building from 1927 and therefore does not have an elevator, so guests must use the stairs to reach the accommodation.Starting October 1, 2025, the Municipality of Montevideo has implemented a daily tourism tax of US$1 per person per day for all tourists, with a maximum of US$5 per person, to be charged by all registered accommodations.We will need to add this charge to the total cost of your stay.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Awesome room in a very nice hotel in a great location within Montevideo, we were able to walk everyhwere we needed to go. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. They provided drinkign water which was great.

The Fauna is a wonderful place to stay. Jeronimo and Soledad are fantastic hosts, really communicative and helpful. The rooms are divine. Furnished beautifully. Well appointed and spacious. Great extra touches in the general hotel area too.

Beautifully designed hotel where the owner and staff are extremely helpful. It is in a quiet area of the old town close to cafes,restaurants, museums and galleries. A definite choice for Montevideo.

When I arrived it was early morning, my luggage was missing from my flight from the moment I arrived, the owner was SUPER helpful and I didn't worry too much because he was helping me 100%. My luggage did make it and he brought it up to my room. From the minute I met Jeranimo he was willing to help. The hotel is immaculate and Jeranimo, Nancy and the people who clean are extremely warm and friendly! The area is safe to walk around in and extremly close to restaurants and stores. I hope to stay there again. Also the lighting is great and it is tastefully decorated.
