Haus Stehlings features views of the Old Town of Monschau. The guest house provides guests with free WiFi and is located a 1 hour drive from Cologne.

Haus Stehlings is a historic building dating back to 1780 and is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Monschau's Old Town – directly on the Rur River. From here, guests enjoy picturesque views of the historic half-timbered houses and landmarks of the Old Town, while the gentle murmur of the river creates a particularly relaxing atmosphere.
The house was acquired in 2018 and has been renovated step by step since then, consciously preserving its historic charm. The unique architecture and the building's original structure make a stay here an authentic Monschau experience.
Today, the house is divided into five individual units. One of the units has its own kitchen, while the others are comfortable rooms without kitchens and are particularly well-suited for short stays or spontaneous visits to Monschau.
Thanks to its central location in the heart of the Old Town, restaurants, cafés, small shops, and the main attractions are all within easy walking distance. At the same time, the house is located away from through traffic, so despite its central location, you can enjoy a pleasantly quiet atmosphere right on the water.
Haus Stehlings is therefore an ideal place for guests who want to experience the authentic old town of Monschau – with its historical ambiance, central location, and the soothing sound of the Rur River right outside the door.

Guests thus stay right in the heart of the town – surrounded by the famous half-timbered houses, narrow streets, restaurants, cafés, and shops. Many attractions, such as the Rur River, the market square, and Monschau Castle, are easily reachable on foot in just a few minutes.

The hotel was wonderful. We stayed as a group of four - two adults and two children. The room was spacious and comfortably accommodated all of us, with plenty of sleeping places. All the amenities were provided, including a kettle, cutlery, a set of glasses, a corkscrew, shampoo and soap, towels, fridge. Both the room and the building itself were very beautiful and authentic. We especially appreciated the host’s care - he even called to make sure we had checked in successfully. The place is quiet, with no noisy neighbors. The location is excellent: right in the historic center, close to the mountains with a castle and fortress, the river, parking, and cafés.
