The fine print
-Please note that the parking place is located outside the castle walls.
-Guests are kindly requested to go to the Malvasia Traditional Hotel reception desk, from where they will be led to their room. After crossing the castle gate, the reception of Malvasia Traditional Hotel is located on the main alleyway at a distance of approximately 50 metres on the left hand side.
-During the winter months (November-March) breakfast is served in the dining area of the Malvasia Hotel.

Very good location close to both Portello and all the restaurants. The bed is comfortable and sleeps well. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. Even the shower head can be hung on a wall bracket, which is sturdy.

Amazing location, right in the heart of Monemvasia old town. Do be aware there are a lot of steps and slippery paths on the route to the guesthouse (this is not a criticism, it's the same everywhere in the town and well worth it if you are physically able) and you will need to carry your bags from the main gate through the town. Comfortable beds and we loved the cafe under the fig tree where breakfast was served (thank you Yannis) and we also enjoyed a coffee or two in the afternoon. Also just a few minutes away is the swimming spot! We loved the traditional decor and the terrace too. A great base for a trip to this unusual place. Book at least 2 nights, it's absolutely worth it.
