We spent 10 days in Portugal doing a cycle tour so we stayed in a few different places - Casa Malva was our favourite! Great location, lovely view and so beautiful decorated and furnished - gloriously quirky, full of original artworks made by the hosts, and furniture made from re-purposed items. The hosts were really helpful and kind - I'm just sorry we didn't have time to go and look at their studio and sculpture garden. Next time...

The apartment is really beautiful and perfectly located in Monchique, just above the town square where you can enjoy a coffee and also start the local walking route Rua dos Moinhos. Very comfortable apartment with cosy touches. Enjoy the view from the kitchen/balcony!

I love the location of Casa Malva being right in the centre of Monchique. I also loved the way the owners have kept the original features of this old townhouse and incorporated them in setting up this unique house. It is spacious and has everything you could need even a washing machine located in a cubicle on the balcony. The owners own pottery and paintings throughout were lovely. Communication was very prompt and an issue with the Wi-fi was addressed straight away.

The view is amazing, the apartment is very spacious for what it is, also it is a small art gallery. The location is superb you can walk to little shops or many restaurants and bars. Stayed for a week in August, and had zero problems with parking. Make sure you visit the owners gallery. A good location to explore Algarve.
