This is a spacious neat and clean cabin with everything we needed. The rural setting was beautiful. It was one of the best we encountered on our tour of Tasmania.

Cradle Alpine Retreat is about 30 minutes from Sheffield and 30 minutes from Cardle Mountain. It is quiet as it is set back from the road. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, which all the guests can access. The chalet itself was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped and the lounge was comfortable. The bed was comfortable and warm! Remember to bring food for your breakfast and snacks as there are no local shops. Go to the Sheffield pub for dinner, the drive there is a bit 'hairy' but the food makes it well worth it. Also check out the murals while you are in Sheffield.

Lovely accommodation in beautiful woodland surroundings where you can spot pademelons at night. Shop and quirky coffee shop / small art gallery close by. Just to bear in mind for people wishing to visit Cradle Mountain National Park, the property is approx. 25 minute drive from there, however it's a nice drive and closer accommodation looks more expensive.
