The location is excellent, especially for visiting Amanohashidate, and the availability of parking made it very convenient for us. The house itself is beautifully designed with a traditional Japanese aesthetic, and the overall setup is very comfortable and well thought out. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the unique style of the property.

I'm from Taiwan I stayed at Moku over Christmas and had an amazing experience. The house is full of traditional Japanese charm, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel relaxed as soon as I arrived. What really stood out to me were the thoughtful details throughout the space—especially the clothes-drying rack placed near the heater vent. It was such a smart and practical touch, and my clothes dried quickly even during the cold winter weather. The host was incredibly kind and responsive. When I couldn’t find the laundry detergent, she came over right away to help and let me know I could message her anytime if I needed anything. That level of care truly made a difference. I would absolutely recommend Moku to anyone visiting Kyoto, especially during the winter season. It is also highly recommended for travelers who are driving—if you plan to visit Amanohashidate or Ine no Funaya, this is a great place to stay as part of your trip. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and for making my time in Kyoto truly memorable.
