The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. We had a lovely stay in Mitzpe Hila with Netta, our host. The room completely exceeded our expectations as it was very clean and comfy with lovely additions to the decor! We stayed two nights and on the second night unfortunately the gas balloon for the stove was suddenly empty in the middle of cooking dinner. Netta was not only so kind to let us cook in her own kitchen but even helped us and we had a wonderful chat! The view from Mitzpe Hila is breathtaking as well as the hike to nearby Nahal Kziv and the Monfort Castle ruins. If I remember correctly another review stated that Netta's place gives you a feeling of Tuscany in Israel and I think this is very true. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Netta's place!
