“Very nice hotel close to a Boudhist temple”
19 Jul 2025
This hotel is close to a Boudhist temple (about 20-25min walk). It’s good to wake up early in the morning to see the monk hitting the big bell at 5am and then to attend the ceremony. There are two Onsen at the hotel that you can privatize. The food was very good.

“Beautiful 500 year old Japanese style house. Homemade orange wine also excellent.”

Experience traditional Japan, friendly staff, not full of tourists.

“Pleasant stay”
11 Jun 2025
This was quite an experience. Simple comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner was included. It was vegan , liked it. The place is so calm and beautiful Morning Buddhist temple prayers were worth waking up early.

“A delightful stay we will always remember”
03 Jun 2025
We had the privilege of spending one night at Temple Lodging Shukubo Kakurinbo on Mount Minobu, and it was one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of our trip in Japan. The lodging was authentic, peaceful, and cozy, and the entire team welcomed us with warmth and care. The dinner and breakfast were true works of art — both delicious and beautifully presented. We were also fortunate to experience a private tea ceremony, thoughtfully arranged for us at the home of tea teacher. Our guide, Tomo, was kind, considerate, and made the whole experience unforgettable. We also attended the morning prayer at Kuon-ji Temple, which was deeply moving. Thank you to everyone at Kakurinbo for your gracious hospitality — we will always remember our time with you.
