Traditional pub in excellent location for visiting the area. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice atmosphere in the pub and good beer.

Lovely old pub in the heart of Exmoor country. Good food and pleasant staff, we had a dog room which was fabulous and even a dog shower is available, great dog facility. Lovely and clean.

The Chicken, Ham and leek pie was delicious, very evidently home made. The mash and veg with it were also excellent, I like my veg and it's a rarity to get them cooked so perfectly. The Banoffee pie was definitely not necessary but equally delicious. My newly decorated room was spotless and the brand new bed vey comfortable. What can I say; I think they should get awards for their food. I was still full the following morning but I had an early start and would be out in the wilds all day, so had to refill, the Breakfast was just too good !!! Obviously locally sourced and all excellent.

Stayed over for the Exmoor targa rally which started from the cattle market 100 yds down the road. Arrived late due to bad traffic, the staff knocked us up ham egg and chips before they closed the kitchen, it was very much appreciated after a 9 hour journey. A good cooked breakfast too.
