Sten “Superb isolated stay in a very atmospheric village”

We were very impressed with the village of Minas Sao Domingo, and this stay was definitely in-character for the village, being located in one of those splendid old white stone houses. The lake was visible from the front door. The lovely host met us at the house, be mindful she speaks only Portuguese so use translation apps if you dont speak it. The kitchen at the house is well equipped to make dinner there, we made some pasta. Only thing is it can get a little cold there in the winter despite of the air conditioner because the house is not well insulated, but there are warm blankets and sleeping in chillier room is healthier anyway :)

Just a few hundred metres from the lake and lovely and peaceful in the evening. A little sandy beach which was packed one day and great the next. The lake has a very nice café which opens at 10am (as you can't make coffee at the apt, it was very handy!)
