The hot spring here is simply outstanding! With a panoramic view and even a sauna, you can fully enjoy your stay without needing to go anywhere else. Meals are thoughtfully prepared in the room, so I could relax and enjoy everything at my own pace. The private shuttle service from Echigo-Yuzawa Station also made access very easy and convenient.

A peaceful inn tucked away in a quiet village surrounded by rice fields. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the freedom of self-service meals, which let me move at my own pace. Having access to the hot spring at Satoyama Jujo’s main building was another highlight, making my stay both comfortable and memorable.

A spacious garden made for a truly elegant and relaxing stay. The house also comes with a sauna, and being located within a shrine’s grounds gave the place a special, sacred atmosphere. I especially recommend a peaceful morning walk—it was unforgettable.

A peaceful retreat that touched my heart. Staying at THE HOUSE KIROKU (Kura 02) was one of the most unique and relaxing experiences I’ve had in Japan. Nestled in a quiet village with lush greenery, it felt like a perfect balance between nature and privacy. The room was full of charm — a beautiful blend of traditional design and modern comfort. I felt completely at ease from the moment I stepped in. One special highlight was the selection of local sake, all complimentary and even available to take home. Such a lovely and unexpected souvenir to bring back! Dinner and breakfast were both carefully crafted. The flavors were delicate and felt very natural — I personally loved it, though I can imagine the taste might be different from what some international guests are used to. The whole stay was contactless, with remote check-in and meals delivered directly to the room. I appreciated the calm and the space to just breathe. If you’re looking for a quiet escape with a touch of Japanese countryside charm, this is the place. I would love to return again in another season.
