Surrounded by nature’s gentle hush, it offers a serene escape marked by quiet pathways, cozy cottages, and soft whispers of the breeze. Far from the rush and routine, every corner invites calm—perfect for morning walks, unhurried conversations, or simply soaking in the stillness. It’s a peaceful haven where simplicity and solitude come together, allowing you to breathe deeply and just be. Our wonderful host, Craig, went out of his way to ensure we had a truly memorable experience—his warmth and attention to detail made our stay all the more special.

Great location in a beautiful valley, really near lots of hiking trails, a river, very peaceful. The lodge itself is spacious, clean and comfortable. Craig is an excellent host, with lots of knowledge and enthusiasm for the area. He makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the coffee obviously superb. Would highly, highly recommend.

Japanese style rooms were super pretty, free to use e bikes and free pickup from the train station. The host helped to get around here and booked things that we can do, we came without any plans and ended up having a great time

I absolutely loved my stay here at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery, Craig was a wonderful host and even picked me up from the local station - which was super kind. The tatami mats were really comfortable as well- would highly recommend
