What an amazing stay. The perfect small village Japanese experience. The staff were so welcoming and the location was beautiful. Day 1 we explored Mihonoseki, day 2 was an easy drive to Yuushien gardens, Matsue Castle and the Adachi Museum of Art. Traditional rooms with a view over the bay. The dinner and breakfasts were outstanding...a must if you love seafood! We highly recommend staying at Fukumakan - it has been a highlight if our trip!

Stayed 2 nights, great room with sea views, quiet and relaxing fishing port, excellent traditional Japanese sea food for breakfast and dinner, lovely family run Ryokan-make sure you visit the temple next door to watch the ceremony-held twice a day-highly recommend
