Ideal location for our overnight stop while walking the South Downs Way, just 2 stops down the hill on the No 60 bus. Short walk to the Blue Bell pub for our evening meal. Lovely comfortable bedroom with nice view. Spacious bathroom with great shower (although do note this is a private one across the landing rather than en-suite). Superb breakfast and packed lunch for our onward walk.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this excellent B&B while walking the South Downs. The attention to detail throughout was remarkable, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making guests feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was easily one of the best I’ve had on this trip—fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to a day of hiking. After a long day on the trail, the bath and shower facilities were absolutely perfect. There’s nothing better than ending a hike with a warm, relaxing soak, and this place delivers that experience beautifully. I can’t recommend this B&B highly enough—it was a highlight of my journey.
