Staff are so friendly and do their absolute best to accommodate you. We told them we would be arriving late and they kept the restaurant open! Food is good, traditional but they also gave us chips. You can organise an overnight stay near the Erg Chigaga dunes including a guide there and back as well as activities like camel riding at the desk. We spent the night at Alladin Desert Camp. Our guide, Hamza was fantastic. He took us from M'hamid to our camp and back, he grew up in a desert nomad family so he knows everything there is too know about the Sahara as well as speaking great English and accommodating everything we wanted to do in the desert. It is the people who really make this hotel excellent. The facilities are great (pool and loungers) and the food is good but the staff are so friendly and always try to go above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure you get the absolute best from your visit to the Sahara. They offer activities: overnight desert camp to the Erg Chigaga dunes (if you do this please ask for Hamza, our guide who was absolutely fantastic), camel riding and ATVS which were just brilliant.
