Betegi is a simple and very clean guesthouse — just as you'd expect to find in the middle of a 4-day trail — but it was great! We enjoyed the stay immensely. The host ladies are lovely — very welcoming, and they fed us really well, preparing us for the next day of walking. The evening was so pleasant. There’s a veranda with a swing bench, and the view is incredibly relaxing. You really feel like you’re in the heart of the Caucasus.

The cleanest guesthouse we stayed at during our Mestia–Ushguli hike—everything was spotless and comfortable. The landlady is wonderfully hospitable, welcoming us with a warm smile and caring for every detail. The homemade food was delicious and plentiful, easily the best meals we had on the trek. Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine hospitality and top-notch cleanliness.
