We arrived quite late on the first night and the staff stayed up to greet us with mint tea and made us dinner. The next day we went on a private jeep tour through the dunes that was brilliant with the owner’s brother. The pool was then a lovely break from the hot temperatures. Later in the day, we went out on an ATV, again organised by the accommodation. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner served to us at our leisure and all food was probably the best we have had in Morocco. Very authentic and traditional experience of Merzouga. Bring cash as there is no card here!

Kasbah Azalay was a fantastic place to stay—peaceful, beautifully designed, and full of charm. The rooms were spacious and clean, with stunning views of the Sahara right from the terrace. The staff were kind and attentive, and the food was excellent. A perfect stop if you’re exploring the desert—highly recommended!

What a true oasis out in the desert. Wonderful hosting, the owner couldn't do more for our group of 4. The pool was epic, the views amazing and the stars at night breathtaking. No word of a lie, my husband and I will be back. Thanks very much to Youssef
