We had a door code for check in, which meant we could turn up at any time without having to meet someone for the keys, that was really convenient as it gave us the flexibility to take our time, see the sights without feeling as if we had to rush there before a certain time. It was a top floor apartment of a good size. We managed to find the BBC channel on the TV which was great. Everything in the apartment was great, just like what the pictures on the website depicted. The WiFi was super fast as well. The location was okay, it was a good 800 meters from Merzig Stadtmitte station and you could also get some local buses to the main train station, the town center was a relatively short walk away and you are very close to the local pool (which was fantastic in the summer). There is also a Kebab shop and supermarket around the corner as well. It was peaceful at night, noise wasn't an issue. Merzig is a tiny town but it is on a main railway line that allows you to go to Trier and Saarbug to the north as well as Homburg and Saarbrucken to the south; Luxembourg is also within easy reach as well by bus - all of which are amazing places to visit. The apartment has an exclusive feeling and very nicely decorated as well as extremely well equipped. The view from one side of the apartment is directed to the nearby castle, which gives a very elegant feeling.
