This is our second stay at Vila Nova Guest House and similar to our first experience, the house and hosts did not disappoint. The house is super comfortable and clean, fairly close to the historical center and with a convenient parking area nearby. The sympathy from the hosts is definitely a plus with a special touch of several breakfast items (including local delicacies) which are extremely convenient. We will definitely return as soon as possible.

Arrival at Vila Nova was very flexible given we had travelled quite a way, Filipa, Joāo and Ana were extremely accomodating and helpful in helping us to settle in as quickly possible. We are quite independent, yet we always felt you could ask during our 10 day stay. The Vila Nova is a lovely place to be, well laid out and like ‘home’. All of the trappings of a modern villa in a lovely environment and a real pleasure to come back to as we journeyed out, cooked in and simply soaked up the sun on the terrace, and it was hot 36C. The property location gives you a great opportunity to be in historic Mertola in literally 5-10 minutes yet be near lovely scenery 5-10 minutes walk to fantastic vista’s. We loved being in Mertola, Vila Nova and really appreciated Filipa, Joāo and Ana hospitality. We are hoping to be back very soon.

One of these rare places where each and every detail has been thought of in order to make guests enjoy their stay. Probably the cleanest accomodation we ever booked, cozy and well decorated, in a very calm and safe neighbourhood. Filipa, João and his mother are amazing hosts and more than ready to help. The price is more than fair. We will certainly stay at Vila Nova Guest House again.
